Siddhartha Sankar Chowdhury hails from Howrah, Kolkata, W. Bengal, India and is the disciple of his grand uncle the late Pandit Adinath Chowdhury.

In 1997 Siddhartha accompanied Pandit Prabhakar Karekar at the prestigious 44th Annual Dover Lane Conference in Kolkata, India and also in Durgapur Rabindra Bhavan and Asansole Rabindra Bhavan in W. Bengal, 1998. 

Siddhartha is the youngest recipient of the prestigious “Sachin Dev Burman” award from Tripura Music College and has recordings to his credit including “Rejoice”, released by Rageshree Music and available through The Asia Society of New York. 

Siddhartha has sung on the scores of film productions in India and USA and has performed for the Tara Bangla, Zee TV and ATN World television networks of India.  He also has a feature credit in the Bengali feature film “Bhalo Theko”, directed by Gautam Halder which was nominated for Guttenborg International Film Festival. 

In 2001 Siddhartha performed with the indo-jazz fusion band Time Travil at Rabindra Sadan in Kolkata, India as well as on the Tara Bangla TV network show called ‘On Date Special’.  

Since 2010 he performs Hindustani classical music with Ryan Shah and the band TIME SPY of USA.  They performed at DAV College in Kathmandu, Nepal and was recognized by the honorable Minister for Information & Communications Minendra Rijal.    

In October 2016 Siddhartha performed at Jagganatha Mandir in Puri, Orissa, India for the Jagganatha Mandir Committee. 

In March 2022 Siddhartha performed for the EZCC Eastern Zonal Cultural Center.
